PRR position light signals are perfect for a man cave. Google them on line. You need to decide whether you want a simple automatic block signal or a home signal. Good luck. Keep us posted. |

I am not sure you realize just how large a PRR position light signal is. They are not an indoor accessory. I suggest you look around on e-bay or other sites for a dwarf signal.Another bet is to ask established signal collectors where they get their stuff from. In most cases retired signals get recycled in the signal shop or are sent to the scrapper, but along the way some are siphoned off into the collector's market. A PL/CPL dwarf is on the order of $500 to $1000. |

Hence is why I mentioned 1/2 scale.I know I can not put up real full size signal head (It's almost as tall as me, Yikes!) Someone said about looking at laser cut shop to cut face, 3 holes, 3 hoods, paint them black and 3 LED light modules then assemble it myself. If I did that I would need some kind of schematics to give to the shop. I searched on Google for it and found none :-( |

If you get an original set of PL3 heads they can be scaled down for restricted clearance locations because the lamps can just be cinched in on the pipes. Examples can be found at DOCK interlocking. |

Hello Sacramento, that's a famous handle you have.Rob Schoenberg's Pennsy home page, has signal plans 1/4 way down the page at "PRR Standard Signal Plans", click in, index is 1/4 way down the page at sheet "IDX" and CPL's start 1/2 way down same page at "S-400". Might be easier for a shop if you trace out the sheet metal pieces you need and enter the literal dimensions you want. Suitable lenses/led lamp holders as well as pipe size might influence your exact choice of scale. Good luck. Bill |
