She's back on the auction block. This time being sold for $12,000 - half of what was being asked for last October.

...still a bit too high if you ask me.

I doubt that anyone would want to buy a part of a subway car unless it it for a specific purpose like what it was used for in Golden’s Deli.

I notice the photos all conveniently omit the chopped off end. Pricey, but it probably would have been cheaper than trucking half an R-30 from the Mojave desert...

I still think the best idea for the owner is to allow museums such as Shoreline, Kingston, Sea Shore (ME) and any other organization, to come out, take what they need. Get a contribution letter and then sell the rest to a scrap yard.

Who except another store is going to buy, remove and resettle such a monstrosity? Not me because of the $$$$ and the wife and HOA won't like it my back yard. Not to mention the zoning problems with the Town of Huntington !

Operative words, "except another store."

End, Nothing!

It looks to be chopped off at the third set of doors.

Thats about 15 feet or 25% of the car is missing.

There is only about 45 feet of R-6 remaining.

There are probably no parts on that car fragment worth taking.

It could serve as a parts donor for perhaps 923 or 925 or even 103.
