2 Running To Rector Street

According to the website, 2 trains are running to Rector Street. Then what? They stop at South Ferry without telling anyone? Fumigate and relay in the new South Ferry station? Run around the loop but don't stop at South Ferry because the MTA doesn't trust conductors on the 2 train to only open the first 5 cars despite that appearing on the conductor's board?

They run the loop without stopping.
No they do NOT trust the C/Rs to operate that station correctly.

C/Rs who are qualified on the division should be able to work that station correctly and if they cant, they shouldn’t have the job!!!!

Two words:

Muscle memory

If you've never worked the 1 or the 3, you are not going to be used to opening half the train.

Don't buy it. They are SUPPOSED to be transit professionals.

That's like me making excuses for taking wrong line-ups and not stopping at the 10 car marker while I worked overtime elsewhere during the years my picked jobs were on the J/M.

Not only that. Even if for some reason the conductor forgot, there are several very large signs posted for train crews at both Rector St and South Ferry about the doors. This is a clear cut case of management not trusting its employees to know how to do their jobs.

It's gone along with common sense.
