At least one of the brand-new R188s has a completely dark exterior side sign, and the exterior side signs of the rebuilds are in such sad shape (bleeding characters, etc.). That sign design didn't hold up well over the years, and it's a shame the new cars got the same problematic signs too. |

I think it was on 7896 where the side sign was not displaying. Would've been nice for the MTA to fix basic issues like that when converting it to the R188. |
