Not really. Unless you're going to long term parking or the international terminal you can easily walk from the CTA station to Terminals 1 through 3 for all domestic and many international flights. EWR is not laid out to support such an arrangement and PATH would require multiple stops and would be incapable of providing intermural transportation. |

However, you will also need to purchase a separate $5.50 NJ TRANSIT ticket at the Airport Station from ticket machines located within the station." So NYP to Newark Airport is $12.50 NYP to Elizabeth $6.75 + Airtrain $5.50 = $12.25 PATH $2.75 + Airtrain $5.50 = $8.25 Would the PATH surcharge be as high as $4.25? |

This PATH extension seems pretty pointless. A good way to throw around limited transit dollars, I guess. Maybe it would be more useful if a station was built south of Downtown Newark.In any case, I hope they plan on running a EWR-33ST and an EWR-WTC service, full time. To round it all off, the last service could be 33ST-WTC via HOB. A lot of tourists are going to Midtown, so I think the EWR-33ST line would be quite busy. NJ Transit might not be too happy about having customers poached away, so who knows what could really happen. |
