A question about CityTicket/LIRR |
|
Posted by streetcarman1 on Mon Sep 1 19:53:58 2014 Today I went into Manhattan from Zone 3. I was expecting to ride into Manhattan with the reduced CityTicket but it was not available despite the fact that the schedule is set for SUNDAY. Why is this ticket not available on holidays when the LIRR runs on weekend schedule but yet the day does not fall on either Saturday or Sunday. Commuters should be given a break. Just my opinion. |

That may be, but the logic of it should dictate that it be available on major Monday holidays, when the trains run on a Sunday schedule. Also, it's still a pilot program? It's been around for years. |
