I knew about the entrance to the Woolworth Bldg from the BMT City Hall station. It was there until at least the late 1970's. I don't think there was a entrance to teh IRT City Hall station though. This one I never heard of : "10. The Lower Abandoned Level of the F Train According to Litwack, you can walk from 7th Avenue to Church Avenue in Brooklyn on the F train without ever seeing a platform through an entire abandoned level, which is a replica of the active tracks above it. The Atlantic Avenue tunnel "discovered' by Bob Diamond and the 74th St/ Roosevelt Avenue Platform to the Rockaways are two that immediately come to mind.I will concede that 76th street is another can of fish. |
