It can be much worse |
|
Posted by overclocked on Wed Aug 20 01:26:39 2014 Usually I consider railfanning relatively safe pastime, occasionally a cop or employee will pay some interest, but once explained they leave.I know some of you had it worse, i.e. being put on the terrorist list and such; granted that's major. Well some like minded individuals can have it even worse, like being shot by a motorman out of the moving train, or having "yellow" liquid spilled over your head. A thread on ER No wonder then the train master paid me a visit when I was there last year. |

"but all they got is the response that the driver was acting in good manner (quote “was shooting in the air to warn the photographer to get out of the way and not to be injured”, so the driver in question still works in the company."The driver was probably a "paid-up, card carrying" member of the party. |

Why do Russians hate train photographers? Are they afraid that the photographer will catch them doing something unseemly? Personally, I think the pictures of Russian rail engineering are interesting. |

I am with you on this one, when I visited last year the train master (after reviewing my photos) explained that they worry about journalists "uncovering the truth of daily operations", even though anyone who is not blind can see it themselves.Certainly it does not excuse pointless hate of fellow people. |
