Definitely. The Orange Line should have been light-rail from the start. I'm not sure the Valley has the population density to justify a more expensive Red Line heavy-rail extension. |

The advantage to extending the Red Line is single seat operation which should generate more riders. |

For the enormous sums that would cost, the SFV could have multiple light rail lines running in a grid and converging at North Hollywood, plus a connecting across the mountains to the West Side, which is the biggest Choke point. |
