A Nice, Long Walk Up the Hudson This Afternoon... |

Posted by Mysterious Friday 1986 on Wed Apr 23 01:08:26 2014 ...led me to this gem...New York Central's locomotive 8625, located at Riverside Park at about 62nd Street, right under the Joe DiMaggio (West Side) Highway. This is on the site of what used to be the West Side Yards. Check these out.     Interior Cab   Coupler    Controls  Further up, you can find the remnants of the New York Central's Car Transfer Bridge, located at about 69th Street. Never even knew that was around there!!! :-)Of note about railfanning the Empire Line around that area, there is a rather attractive 30-something Spanish woman, YES A RAILFAN, who frequently shoots Youtube videos around that area and posts numerous videos on Youtube. Some on here might know of her, her name is Monica Matos. When you see her, you might very well have trouble watching the trains!! TRUST ME!! ;-) She frequents the Hudson Line too. |
