Posted by JFK Depot on Sun Apr 20 00:16:24 2014 due to the 4 being cut this weekend the 5 is running a couple of 142A's from the 4I happened to catch one earlier at 59th St... Higher #76xx was lead set.. With 77xx set in the rear... Wish I caught a pic of it... Definitely interesting to a Kawaski in Bombardier territory.. Felt like it was almost gonna derail coming around that curve from 138th Grand Concourse to 149th.. He took it alil bit too fast and the car kinda jumped but luckly it didn't derail.. |

He just took it way too fast... He hit that interlock very hardNormal 5 trains hit that interlock at 10-15mph... This guy had to be doing well over 20-25mph |

There are no timers leaving 149 Street - Grand Concourse on the (5) until after you've merged onto the (4) line, and are moving downhill into 138 Street - Grand Concourse. |
