TOMC This Saturday? |
|
Posted by JayZeeBMT on Mon Apr 14 21:52:57 2014 I'm (finally) coming back home to NYC this week, and I heard the TOMC will be running on the (7) on Saturday. Where can I find info on this? I looked over mta.info, didn't see anything. |

San Francisco is the only city that even comes close to the MYC Pride March in both scope and grandeur. SF does, however, have historic PCC cars running to the Castro, the neighborhood where Harvey Milk was elected City Supervisor, the first openly gay man to achieve high public office. (The cars were in operation in his era, too.) Interestingly, transit was a strong plank in his campaign platform, and he did approve additional funding for MUNI during his all-too-brief time in City Hall. |
