Depending on the year those photos were taken they could also be Lo-Vs since about a year before the station was closed, both the Bway and Lenox lcls used Lo-Vs. Also if the photo was taken at night they could be Lo-Vs on a Wh Pl Rd to So Fy train which ran during midnight hours on 7 Av. From the autos in the street photos, those look to have been taken in the mid to late 1950s. |

(Not necessarily trains of course, they have them for every topic). I know what they were right away, but it's funny, as many probably don't know why they are doubled. |

I was on that platform on one of the Transit Museum tours in the 90's, and it looked nothing like that!! You can just make out the "91" in the tile walls. Here's some photos I took there in the mid 90's. |

That was still in the early 90's with slide film. I only wish they still gave them so people could get in there with their digital cameras!!It was so interesting! |

Fascinating stuff, photos of the abandoned portions of the IRT are obviously difficult to come by, so this is a real treat. I'd really like to see photos of Worth, if anything because it was the only abandoned IRT station whose platforms were extended (albeit on one side). |

Yes, the tour group would get into the first car and a TSS would have the motorman stop the train in the station, open the first set of doors in the 91st St Station, and the tour group would get off. It made for some interesting reactions from regular passengers :)--Mark |
