Anyone Know the Name of Display at Penn Station Departure Gates? |

Split Flap display, usually called a "Solari Board" after the primary manufacturer. I know the one in Penn Station well, I was on Amtrak Friday and came back yesterday, but I don't know the R-142 for sure, I'm usually on R-160 cars. |

From what I've read, the split flap Solari display at NY Penn Station was replaced in 2000.I shot a 10 second video yesterday of the current board there. It has the overall appearance of the older Solari board, but if you watch it when it transitions you'll see the difference Split Flap Split Here's a 2000 ode to the old board |
