There was at least one R32 M train during the post 9/11 attacks, but I never saw one on the J. The last time I saw an R32 J train was in March 1989, and it was pre-GOH.I am checking out every single Manhattan bound train that passes my apartment as we speak, and if I see it, I will report it. |

You're post reminds me of when I rode a 42 on the J back in 05 where the heater caught on fire! Its funny as it happened as the train pulled into BJ and continued on its trip like nothing happened, I guess one of the riders put the fire out. |

I wonder why they don't use a garbage train for the Jamaica line?Must be a PITA for the employees to go up on the EL to get the garbage then go back down to the street to put it in the truck. I thought it was odd I never seen in person or photos of the garbage train running on the Jamaica line, I assume the Brighton line garbage is picked up by truck as well as I never seen a garbage train on that line either. |

Maybe the garbage is stored at the fare control area in a room and the people who pick up at night only have to go up one flight of stairs?I think on the J, they empty the garbage cans on the platform and bring the bags downstairs. |
