Track geometry is essentially done at normal speed. The analysis of the rails performed by the Sperry Car is done at much slower speeds.

Yes, not it is not likely to be an IJ...where is the impedance bond?
CWR expansion joints are longer than that. It looks like a conventional 6-bolt joint bar.

Oh, wait a second...the impedance bond is behind the guy in the hardhat
standing next to the guy with the badge. I can make out the cables
and the joints there. So if there is another single plain joint a few
feet away, that looks like a "dutchman" ... a small piece of rail
spliced in to correct a previous defect.

IRJs are often assembled off site and then patched in with a conventional joint at each end.
