Probably has something to do with the fact that if you want it to function something like a smartphone the carrier will sell you those "features" (maps, music, etc) for a price which makes it almost as much as a data plan for a smartphone. |

My wife has a Smart Phone (we use Verizon for our cell phones since Verizoff only has 32% of the operation. We never see Angry Birds anywhere, My cell phone won't (it's not a Smart Phone) and Michele's Smart Phone doesn't get Angry Birds either. If it it did, a lawyer friend of ours would be happy to file a suit against Verizoff. |
