I have never heard of this happening. maybe since he came from LI he did cross the LIRR tracks a few times and thought he could get away with it. at least he didn't feel it. |

According to Darwin creator Wendy Northcutt, those killed or rendered unable to reproduce by trains only qualify for awards when their stupidity only marginally involves the actual train. Well, spider pig asked why people were unaware of the train rule, I was simply pointing out there were several train based incidents in their files, which people would see, read, and assume getting hit by a train counts. |

I guess you guys are not familiar with all the lawsuits that have been filed against various transit agencies when trespassers are killed by their own stupidity. Years ago a moron was electricuted when he climbed on top of an NJ Transit coach at Princeton Junction. Unfortunately, he lived, but he sued NJ Transit and won. A few years back, some 12 or 13 year old kids were trespassing on LIRR territory near Forest Hills, spray painting graffitti on the walls or something, and one was killed by a train. Their family sued the LIRR, not sure of the outcome.Keep in mind that nowadays, people will sue for ANY reason, and will find a lawyer who will find ANYTHING to turn the table against the transit agency involved... |

Is there a crossover/under at 79th to go between North and Southbound platforms. The news reporters implied they would have to go up to the street and enter on the other side. that implies another fare, could be one reason why they attempted the shortcut. 66th, and 72nd have crossovers/unders. |
