Beautiful filmwork and beautiful music. But one error in the first reel. The picture of Opening Day of the Flushing Bridge is labeled "1860", yet there are automobiles crossing the bridge. |

Still incorrect, as there were no autos in 1892 either. So both appear to be incorrect - it was not Opening Day on the bridge and it wasn't 1860. Can't believe everything you read. |

Thanks for these, rode the Welfare Island trolley several times with my uncle in the 1950's loved that subway trolley terminal in Manhattan those cars sure squealed around the loops. Karl |

The recently departed Joe Saitta was on that last car over the QB bridge, even got to operate it over the span for a bit. Too bad 601 deteriorated into small bits over time, the fate of outdoor storage. |

"Opening Day Flushing Bridge 1860" LOL! - with automobiles no less! And though I loved seeing the QB Bridge trolley, that one ran nowhere near Northeastern Queens. |

We used to rise that trolley when I lived in Long Island City so many years ago. My mother would take my brother and I up to Queensboro Plaza and get on the trolley. What I remember was that it stopped below ground in either an underpass or a tunnel but I cannot for the life of me why my Mom took us there, what store she was taking us to. I do know there was a taxi-cab garage about a block away and my Dad drove a hack from 1947-1950. |
