Notice that the R-160's are being delivered with the additional grab-irons and footrests (recessed bulkhead ends near the anti-climbers). IIRC, the current R-143 fleet was retrofitted with the additional handholds and footrests, .I hear the biggest difference between the R-160 and R143's is the end doors that are two sections ala the R-142's (not the storm doors on the 'A' car ends). |
