Since we have been talking about the "K" and it had a relatively short service life here is the schedule as it appeared in the December 1972 Bulletin. Some may find it of interest.

The K ran weekdays only.

Almost all "K" trains ran between 57 Street/ 6 Avenue and Eastern Parkway. There were three put-ins that left Rockaway Parkway at 622, 642 and 700 AM . Two trains left 57/6 at 1002 and 1011 AM and carried passengers only to West 4 Street.

Hours of operation were: Lv 57/6 655 AM to 954 AM and 321 PM to 645 PM.
Lv Eastern Parkway 614 AM to 930 AM. 238 PM to 604 PM.

K was KK from 1968 until January, 1973. It was cut back to Eastern Pky from 168-Jamaica at that time.

A number of posts have indicated there were a couple of regular daily runs that were technically "MM" because they went to Met instead of EP or 168.

The KK and the K were two different services even though there were several similarities.
Here is the KK schedule from the June 1968 Bulletin.

The KK was the 6 Avenue - Broadway/Brooklyn - Jamaica Local.

It operated weekdays only.

Manhattan bound service ran as follows:
Lv Atlantic Avenue 610,620,638,656 AM and 849 - 926 AM
Lv Rockaway Parkway 621, 640 and 655 AM
Lv 111 Street 659 and 708 AM
Lv 168 Street/Jamaica 710 - 823 AM (B Skip Stop)
Lv Eastern Parkway 308 - 522 PM
Lv Atlantic Avenue 453 and 459 PM
All of the above operated to 57 Street/6 Avenue.

Queens bound service ran as follows with all trains leaving from 57/6.
To 168 Street/Jamaica 654,702,710 and 718 AM (All stops)
To Metropolitan Av/Ridgewood 726,736,754 and 809 AM
To Atlantic Avenue 746,759,820,830 and 844 AM
To Eastern Parwkay 816,834, 851 - 1011 AM
To 168 Street/Jamaica 408 - 533 PM (B Skip Stop)
To Eastern Parkway 539 - 638 PM

I rode the KK to Metropolitan Avenue a few times and the trains did carry KK signs.

B Skip-Stop trains stopped at 168 St, 160 St, Sutphin, Queens Blvd, Metropolitan Av, 102 St, Elderts Ln, Cypress Hills, Norwood, Van Siclen, Alabama and Eastern Parkway. These trains made all local stops west of Eastern Parkway.

I would like to see the official timetable and employee work programs.

This is the KK I remember, all different north terminals.

The AM runs to Met got my mind thinking: do these lay up to FP YD? They don't seem to make return trips, or are they changed over to Myrtle/Chambers M service upon arrival at Met? If they did lay up to FPYD, how do they come out for PM service?

I certainly do not expect you to know the answer, just a rehoetorical question.

There was a least one KK train that ended at Rockaway Parkway in the evening (probably three since there were 3 that left RP in the morning).

Two PM Atlantic Ave. dropouts may have ran light to CNR YD.

IIRC, after the K train terminated at Eastern Pkwy (1973-76) the train would run to Atlantic Avenue and relay there.

I wonder if the trains used the same track the L now uses in the northbound direction now that the Snediker Ave. section has been torn down.

I think the K relayed on the demolished portion of Atlantic Ave over Snediker Avenue. It's been many years so I really can't remember it that good....

Although initially PM KKs fan skip stop to Jamaica, By the time I became a road M/M in June of 1969. There was no longer a PM skip stop service on the Jamaica Line and both KKs and QJs made all stops in the PM rush.

There was only one track on the Snediker Av portion of the structure after Fulton shut down in 1956 and that was the N/B 14 St Line. The Bway Bkln lcls relayed several different ways at Atlantic. Some came into what is now the N/B platform of the L Line and relayed S/O the station and some Xed over the what would have been the N/B express platform (now demolished) of the Fulton St el and turned back.

When the K's (KK) first terminated at Atlantic, it would use the center platform (now the west side of the eastern platform (similar to the E terminating at Chambers St.,, it would then continue and cross over to the most eastern track, and return to the other platform for its return. Later on, the K would terminate on what is now the N/B Manhattan bound L platform, so passengers remaining on the train (after Bway Junction) would have a cross platform transfer to the L train to Canarsie. There was a diamond crossover and then 2 individual crossovers, one to the eastern track, and one (that is still there today to the Canarsie bound track.
