As compared to the Silverliner V's which were even bumpier? Almost as bad as an old NYCT subway train.

What do they tend to run on weekends now ? It used to be SV-II's and III's were very hard to get.

Only the trailers were former steam coaches, the motor cars were brand new when the DL&W electrified.

If SEPTA had a more extensive subway/light rail system within Philadelphia and a much less obsolete way of collecting fares, then APTA might have some justification for naming SEPTA as N. America's best large system.
