I remember this movie..it was pretty neat if your into the "disaster type" movies.

hey..did you know Iceland is part the North American tectonic plate seafloor exposed to the open air?

Neat! The Oldtimers were the stars of this movie. I often wondered how they faked the "squashing" of 1300 - did they use debris from a previously scrapped car to create the effect. Obviously they didn't actually squash it, since it's still running around for Museum fantrips. I'll be on the lookout for her next Sunday.

I'm willing to bet the Museum Trio will sit out this excursion.

Looks like Court St. disguised as 50th St. Good old 1802 signed up as a #4 Norton. Nice...

Well, there was no terrorist plot in this, but they cut out a part where the junkie takes the dead conductor's watch. Don't remember if any other parts were missing, I only saw it once before. Surprisingly good flick, the images of the crushed trains were well done.

Make that a Woodlawn 4. The Lex was the featured line - South Ferry was mentioned at one point.

It's the same old story: most of the viewing audience had no knowledge of the NYC subway system and wouldn't have known any better. OTOH those of us in the know know otherwise....
