I find this interesting:

Amtrak NEC NYP to BWI $71

Greyhound Express NYP to BWI $14

Megabus NYP to BWI $9.50

Which I should take?

3 of them run same, approx 3 hours

Unless you have money to burn, Megabus, if you can deal with the pre-purchase and waiting outside.

Megabus and Boltbus are run by majors; they're not Chinatown buses.

Where in the Baltimore area are you trying to get to? Megabus stops in White Marsh, not BWI. If you want BWI, your only options are Amtrak or Greyhound. If you don't have the dough and don't mind tight spaces, choose Greyhound. If you do have it and your willing to risk your train being late, Amtrak.

That depends. Just how well do you want to see the bridge girders along the route, or along the impromptu detour your driver is liable to take. If you enjoy seeing them from the comfort of your seat as your train passes them at 125mph, then I would think the choice is clear. If, however, you would like to have a more up close and personal experience with the girder as it comes through the front window at 70mph, then clearly that's the mode for you.

If you're too poor to afford the train, take the bus. That's why the bus exists.

I just do not regard Megabus as safe, even if a cut above "Chinatown".

I will admit that Megabus (Coach U.S.A.) does seem to be a cut under BoltBus safety-wise, which is the Hound.

But lets look at the Onondaga Parkway issue in Syracuse.
Megabus killed 4 passengers.
Greyhound almost did a couple of months ago, only prevented by a passing motorist telling him to turn around.

CUSA is a conglomeration of many companies, something like Trailways. I won't stereotype one company by another.

Beese serve lotsa places where the train does not go.

As for me and my dollar, for a three hour trip, the difference is moot, for a trip of longer time, I's spend the money for the train. Getting up and walking around, visiting the cafe car etc. have a value over the buss.

Here in Richardton one arrives by automobile or by stage coach. (Rimrock Stages). That be your choice ever since AMTK took PAX of the old NP mane.

Ditto for Chicago.
Wait in Union Station, or stand in the blizzard on Canal Street 2 blocks south unless they bless you with a "warm-up" bus.

Now I made a decision, I am taking Amtrak becuase its safer than bus becuase I realized I see megabus/greyhound more accidents than before.

With transportation in general, there is always risk for accidents.

Basically the mode choice depends on two things: 1. purpose of travel, and 2. travel behavior. To each his/her own.

Is that the way Schumer likes to go? (Cursing at stewardesses aside, that is. He won't take Amtrak, despite talking up a good game about them.)
