Posted by chuchubob on Sun Jul 15 20:31:41 2012 The trainload of Bakken crude departed North Dakota as CP 614; it arrived in Philly as NS 64Z and came over to South Jersey as CSAO CA29.approaching 27th Street bridge, Camden   arriving in Westville at the siding to Sunoco Logistics

The people in Gloucester City demanded trolley wire instead of third rail because of the plethora of grade crossings and the general stupidity of their population. The electrified lines were third rail except for Gloucester City, where trolley wire was installed. Westville is just south of Gloucester, so the wire extended that far. |

And when we do the Glassboro line we can put the third rail/catenary transition point just south of the Walt Whitman bridge, thereby allowing the construction of a yard to be shared with the Lindenwold line for midday layovers.No, wait, that's right "Nobody is going to ride, so we cheap out and do diesel that dies in Camden" is the new refrain. |
