Strange they did not increase the number of rush hour trains with 2 cars when that service was just semi-hourly.

Can those little thingies run in trains of three cars? or are the platforms that NJT built too short . . . ?

They can [seen it several times on equipment moves], but in revenue service, the maximum is two cars. NJT built the stations long enough for two cars.

Better than Newark Light Rail, several surface stations either have been cut down to hold single-car trains, or like Silver Lake, can only accomondate one car. The subway stations, Branch Brook Park, and Grove St can hold a two-car train.

All of the HBLR stations can handle two-car trains.
