Why can't reporters get basic facts straight? "The MTA has been gradually rolling out the new M8s for the past year to replace the older M7s" indeed. If he had asked, he would have been told the model numbers of the cars that are being replaced. Presumably, the reporter had heard the term "M7" someplace, and just assumed that that would have to be what the M8 was replacing. |

Wow the M7s are looking very good for being 40 years old. This is also a classic example of people not learning to get their facts straight. |

You ain't kidding!!! Remember, these press are the same people who love to state how incompetent us MTA guys are, but yet they do not make notes (nor proofread their final work to be printed) of their own incompetence!!! |

The M-8s I've seen so far are indeed married pairs, with odd-even consecutive numbers. Perhaps they've got a series of singles in the middle somewhere. As for the other errors in the report, they've been duly noted. And it's spelled KAWASAKI with an "A".wayne |
