LION was in CITY yesterday. Him went to CI on (Q) 4 pics.
Him walked along Frankie taking pics. Climbed aboard (2) train with plans for 242nd street but BIG POWER FAILURE on 7th Ave. LION is surprised not to read of it here, it was, after all on WABC Radio. Train was stopped in tunnel for about 15 minutes at Canal Street. After a time we crawled north to 14th Street. I was going to abandon it but T/O said we was going north on local track, got as far as 18th street and stopped. After about 10 minutes there, LION bails out and takes (R) train to Whitehall Street [last time him did that him got sent to Vietnam!] Took Ferry to SI and SIR to Tottenville. Got back to the PA bus later than the Mommy Lion would have liked (she is 89 and does not want to drive after dark any more--If LION comes home late him will take a cab in the future.)

LION in PA today, maybe try NYC again tomorrow.

So THAT'S what happened ... I was waiting for a downtown 1 train at 66th St at about 1:30 when the delay first stated materializing. After 10 minutes of no announcements (except the automated one which kept telling me of a 1 train 3 minutes away), I bailed and walked to Columbus Circle and picked up a D.

FUBAR still means no possibility of repair.

The "R" in FUBAR stands for the word "recognition" not "repair." We used that term in the command center often.

What other terms were used in the Command Center?

I can think of one.

"I'm gonna nail his pecker to the wall!"
