Someone posted photos of the test runs on the Chiltern.

Photos 7 to 17.

Sliding plug doors, wide enough for wheel chairs. And no, windows won't open anymore.

Why can't the Brits put the high level platform at the proper height ? It is like LIRR Flatbush Terminal, or Hollis, before they rebuilt it.

That's like asking NJT for that. Plenty of high-platform stations I've had to step up (or down) at to get into the train. Doesn't stop a bridge plate from functioning.

More like 50-100 mph. Chiltern main line was 70 mph max for a long time and track upgrades didn't begin until the 21st century (IIRC). The A stock used to do 70 mph also on the shared part to Amersham but not anymore.
