Teen critically wounded in subway stabbing @ Fordham Road (4) train

Police are investigating a stabbing that took place on a southbound number 4 train early Saturday morning.

The stabbing occurred on a train in the Bronx near Fordham Road and Jerome Avenue.

According to investigators, a 19 year old Hispanic man was stabbed multiple times in the chest and face. The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Police are trying to determine who attacked the young man and why.

Number 4 trains were bypassing the Fordham Road Station while police investigated.

Terrible. And his friend ran away to find a station agent and left him there. Also according to the Daily News comments, it's probably not a good idea to fall asleep on that train at 4am.

Other websites are reporting that the attacker robbed the guy's friend's phone, and that there was a confrontation.
