Interesting.... hearing a mixed R142A and R188 train accelerate and decelerate should pretty cool.

Where in the train are the 11th Cars being inserted? I have heard that they are going right behind the A-Car on one end but this is from laymen to the subject.

I see potential problems with carpal tunnel syndrom and BIES in manual mode if the slide gets stiff while twisting the handle from one side of the fulcrum and moving to coast. Why did they have to change the "T" anyway?

When I run the T handle on the post for the long runs on max speed, I'll twist counterclockwise and rest my thumb and palm on the right side of the T to avoid cramping my wrists (these handles generated more complaints then I have ever heard from the R44-46 P-wire handles). When most crews grip the handle it is usually two fingers left and right of the stem, giving more control to the deadman. From the look of your R188, the handles can only be gripped side of the stem. This leads me to believe you will get a lot more bies for a train than its predecessor which was not ergonamically designed correctly from the getgo. Try pulling a locked handle backwards while twisted counterclockwise and pushing it up while clockwise, see if what I said makes sense. New car engineering never pushes envelopes on suggestion boxes from the T/Os.

I found the handle would only twist in one direction. This will lead to more fatigue IMHO.
