I'd imagine a lift bridge would have to be in order. I believe NY Harbor is only about 50 ft or so deep so it's not like putting pylons down would be the issue. |

Retention of the RVL via Bayonne and Elizabeth, as well as the Newark & New York to today's Prudential Center (no HBLR), an all-diesel terminal that meant no need for things like the overly-expensive ALP-45DP . . . who knows what else would have been possible (resurrection of the Royal Blue train? direct diesel service to places like Allentown, Reading and Harrisburg via the CNJ and RDG?) |
