Ok, main reason for being there Saturday 10/8 was because of the lecture of the C60 Caboose by my Home NRHS Chapter hosted by the Transit Museum. But along with that comes pictures, and I decided with a couple of inside Museum shots to tow my camera in various parts of Brooklyn, so here we go:

R1 100 ready to go for trips:

Inside R16 6387:

Inside R30 8506:

Inside R33WF 9306:

Too many shots of C60 in my archives, so I decided not to post it even though I did take photos. But now here is shots of New Trackage being built by NY/NJ rail at 1st Avenue into the SBK Yard in Sunset Park, and I thank Doug for taking me there to view it:

Unfortunately, weed growth from 38th Street is making moves by SBK uninhabitable right now:

The new tracks being laid:

And finally a couple of Brighton Shots Post Construction both taken at express stops.

First the set I got off being R160B Siemans set 9048 leading and then coming towards me is R160B 8818 at Avenue M shot from Kings Highway:

R160B 8818-22, and 8663-7 on the Q at Kings Highway:

And R160B 9172-68, and 8748-52 arriving at Newkirk:

Please enjoy these, and in 2 weeks, I will be back there on the Brighton again to photograph the B express back in action with them R68's!

Problem is seriously there is no track on First Avenue just yet as they are in the process of ripping up the street.

I see the track in the back round is new too, and also no guard rail or flange guard so I'm guessin this track will become ROW?

Nice stuff!! :-)

One of these days I am gonna take a little bit of a stalk along the NY/NY Rail trackage in Brooklyn, and get some shots, possibly follow along and get a photo essay going about the operation. They made the ex-UP switchers look pretty spiffy in the NY/NJ Rail scheme.

Last time I went to the shop back in 2008, it was still in the UP scheme. I'm gonna take a look next time I'm near there.
