Northbound local derailed on the Lex near 125. All NB 4/6 trains running express GC to 125, 5 on the 2 Nevins to 149.

Fox is saying 116th street evacuation was done with a train coming alongside the derailed one and taking pax to 116th Street

In that case, the derailment would've had to have happened with part of the train inside the station, because once you leave 116 Street, there's no place for another train to pull alongside you.

That's what I was thinking. Speed limit is 35 MPH through there, but you're rockin' and bumpin' the whole way. Even if you go max power from 116 Street, you won't reach 35 MPH until you're just south of 125 Street.

The #6 train derailed north of the 116 St. station. Cars 7627 & 7628 derailed. A #4 train, which was behind the derailed train, was also evacuated. There is no way for a train to be alongside either train at that point. Preliminary report was that the rails had spread, causing the derailment. Track work had been recently done on that track.
At present time, the cars affected have not been rerailed yet. This will probably be an all day event.

looking at peter dougherty,s lastest tracks of da subway and it shows switchies nort and south of 125th st.
u all know this.
i remember this when i would take da #4 train to Grand Central Terminal.
