Personally:I would have the M go to Queens Plaza on this G.O., mainly so those looking for uptown Lexington Avenue Service can transfer from the M to the 6 at Lexington Avenue-51st Street while at the same time preventing any disruptions on the F. |

M pulls in M pulls out. QPlaza is not a good choice as you may delay the E as at QPlaza you have to fumigate while at 57/6 no fumigation is necessary. |

The M pulls in on the northbound track. It leaves the station by going southbound on the northbound track, then using the crossover south of the station. |

I don't think you would normally:Fumigation also would not take as long since the M is only eight cars as opposed to the 10 on other trains. It could also be done where the fumigation is sped up at Queens Plaza and the trains that come in there have to go back to Metropolitan if the M goes to Queens Plaza (similar to what is happening here with the 57th street terminal). |

No, you can't do that at QPlz you have to fumigate as you cannot have people on board train when t/o changes ends during the relay. It is a safety and liability matter. Someone can attack the t/o or claim the t/o attacked them. Also, if the train craps out during relay, what about the people stuck? Again, a liability issue. It costs way more to fumigate as you need platform c/r's. Your idea is not practical sorry. |
