I understand, but there are MANY people out there trying to justify the killing of Mr. Grant because of his less than stellar history.

Nobody here is saying that the death of the young man was justified. He did nothing to warrant it.

What *is* being said, is that individuals with previous criminal records, who have vendettas against the police, are wild, uncooperative, and struggle while under arrest, are more likely to *create* a situation where an accident like this can occur.

People who are arrested and continue to act like wild animals become a variable and create opportunities for unfortunate incidents such as these to occur.

So yes, I would say that someone with a prior record, and therefore prior history of disdain against the police, would be more inclined to act in such a way.
