Why should the engineers or other crew members have the option or even a say in the matter?SEPTA blew it by not even asking for employee input. Sure, they don't have to, but with their labor history that gesture would have gone a loooong way. All of the reasons given for full width cabs are pure nonsense. You need to have a conversation with some troops in the field. Do you know some SEPTA engineers carry a "pee bottle" with them? Further, SEPTA has come out publicly {in the Philadelphia Inquirer} and announced that the cabs will be half-width Notorious SEPTIC grandstanding. If that is the case, why even do the 802 retrofit? |
