Yeah they can do the waiver thing, but those do not really protect them that much.For example, in Philly you have the Eastern State Penitentiary where before you are allowed to go on a tour you have to sign a waiver as the facility isn't in the best of shape. The waiver is for the City of Philadelphia as they own the site (they don't run it). Last year, a tourist fell and sued Philly and won, not sure how much $$ they got but they did sign a waiver. I think that is what they will do leave it and do a once in a while thing. The city can always donate it to the NYTM, but doubt they'd want it. But, I do not know the status of Diamond's plans for transition. I suspect he won't be going anywhere |
