Right after last week's switch fire, NO WAY were they going to risk any more bad press. If the tropical storm did hit there, service might have been out all weekend while repairs were made, and yes, passengers may have been stranded.

Sorry folks, the world is different today. You don't plan normal service in any and all conditions. Animals do that sort of thing. We're supposed to have brains in our heads that keep us from doing stupid things.
