I must've struck some nerves because here come the circled wagons. You, of all people, should not accuse others of anti-Semitism. People see your web persona on here, then see your yarmulka in real life, put one and one together, and then calcify and buttress their own anti-Semitic tendencies. In other words, people like you make others WANT to be anti-Semites. And if you are all they go by, who can blame them? Judaism is not sacrosanct. It is NOT a perfect moral code. It is NOT a "chosen" faith. In fact, it is Jewish sekhel that has perfected submission and obedience and subservience to a contrived deity into a neurotic art form. No other faith has so many arcane, convoluted, irrational, excessive, crippling restrictions on how to live life, subjugate women (there is even a daily prayer men recite, "borukh ato adonoi elohenu melekh ha'olam, shelo asani isha" which when translated is, "Blessed art thou, oh Lord our God, king of the universe, for not making me a woman."), and otherwise be dictated to by others who ostensibly have a hotline to Yahweh The Aloof and Jealous on your behalf. No wonder so many Jews have therapists on retainer. They're made to feel guilty about everything. Every move they make is regulated by some putz in a gartel telling them they're not doing it the right way. After awhile, I'd lose my confidence in my own decision-making ability as well. If you can't counter my claims, then get out of the way. Don't be a pussy and play the anti-Semite card. That's for pipsqueaks like Abe Foxman and Robert Abrams. Shmarya Rosenberg was once a rabbinical student who witnessed Orthodox Jewish hypocrisy first hand and often, and has a whole site (linked) with hundreds of instances where Jews are no more perfect (and often far more morally corrupt and bankrupt) than the average non-practicing person. And before you disclaim this by saying "Jews were never meant to be perfect," then why the hell do you put yourself through such paces distancing yourself from the rest of society if your society is no better than anybody elses when it comes to things such as theft, pedophilia, fraud, and other general dishonesty . . . and maybe even worse? Maybe you don't want to admit you're living a lie because you've sunk so much emotional and other capital into the lifestyle that would then become a dead loss to you. That's understandable. Sad, but understandable. |
