I should probably thrown in a disclaimer that I am one of these "liberal" Jews. I studied at what is arguably the most liberal yeshiva in all of Jerusalem, if not Israel, for most of the past year (accepts men and women, the services are fully egalitarian with one exception, men and women are on faculty, etc) and attend the only "traditional egalitarian" services on Saturdays when I'm in Jerusalem (though there are some other Conservative and Reform services in the city). |
