Who is buying new-build four axle road switchers?They're buying a lot of rebuilt ones. Why not new ones, especially ones that can be just as quickly adapted for commuter service? Won't be so cheap to rebuild old Geeps in the future. EMD was not set up as a rebuilder, and that's why the GP15D and GP20D failed Those were shadows of their former selves indeed. |
