Nope, sorry. I want to work for the NYCT to get a steady paycheck. Working around trains is a nice bonus, but I know where to draw the line between a hobby and a career. Right now I work with computers, which is another big passion of mine, and I have done a couple of freebies, but I'm not leaving my house and going on site without a contract in place guaranteeing that I will be compensated for my time and effort.

Nobody seems to realize that the people running the subway, trains, busses, etc are actual humans who are trying to earn that paycheck too. Fares plus government subsidiaries are what pay their salaries. Bitch about fare hikes all you want, but if the workers aren't getting their $100,000 a year, then you better believe they ain't gonna keep working, and then you can keep your fare money and put it towards buying a car.
