But if you get paid by the hour, union or not, I think it's Federal Law the employee gets time-and-a-half after 8 hours work in a day.The federal law only applies to the 40 hour workweek. Comp time is also illegal for private sector non-salaried employees In the non-union private sector, the federal 8 hour OT rule only applies to certain manufacturing, construction work and allied trades work done on federal contracts. |
