Did you know that the last A in the WMATA stands for authority, not agency?Here another one for you, the A in the MTA Maryland stands for Administration not authority or agency. The only letter that is common is the T for Transit. MTA Maryland is redundant phrase as the M in MTA stands for Maryland. The other MTA in Maryland, (Maryland Transportation Authority) is the agency that maintains and operates the toll facilities in the state. John in the sand box of Maryland's eastern shore. |
