Mr. Mabstoa, I completely agree with your point, and believe me my wife (9 years and counting) would kick my @$$ if I had so many images of women taken when I am supposed to be out railfanning, and not to mention the fact that a good number of those girls in those pictures looked very young, and definitely even more considering I have young daughters, my wife would have definite concerns, not to mention if members of my family should ever find out (one of which is in law enforcement!!). She was okay with, but still questionable, the one time I had a good looking woman in one of my photo posts in the past, and out of respect for her, I deleted it totally, and I have not done that kind of photography since, for again I believe if my hobby is railfanning and rail photography, I am sticking to that, maybe every now and then I will shoot an airplane or a bus, or something which sticks on topic but is not necessarily rail related directly. As for photos of women who are unsuspecting of my shooting of them, sorry that is not my style, unless they give the OK to do so, and I give my word never are they used for anything obscene, derogatory, defamatory, or the like, or for any site which has perverted or sexually malicious intent. And personally, I do not want to take pictures of ANYONE, just the trains, equipment and operations, and in all my work, I always strive to keep passengers, bystanders and employees out of my shots as much as possible, but there are times when people being in the shot cannot be avoided, and there's nothing I can do about that. And yes, as Train Dude mentioned, I myself am tired of the double standard that exists around here on many fronts, as people here who post FAR MORE photos than I post at sizes so large the individual images take really long to download, even on a high speed connection, yet people seem to like that person's posts, yet I post maybe at most 25 images per post, and get all criticism about "too many photos, too many photos, blah blah blah!!", also how Whineberg can talk crap about people's posts here and the same critics never seem to have anything to say, but you say one word of criticism about his, than it's high holy war in here!! I speak my mind, I have my own opinions, and I say them regardless of who and what, and in my opinion, these posts were not good at all!! For the type of camera he has, a lot of his pictures are poorly focused, darker in some, too light in others, some even blurry, and the amount of photos of real young girls somehow gives me the creeps, as it would anyone seeing a grown man out snapping pictures of young girls, especially without any kind of permission and for anything other than for advertisement and or journalistic reasons. I am sorry but everyone has their opinions, and I have mine, and for me, these were thumbs down, especially from someone who in the past on above countless occasions speaks like he is some kind of photographic genius and expert, and enough of one to try and criticize the work and presentations of others, and in the rude, disgusting ways in which he has done so. |
