The real problem is a gap in Port Jefferson Branch service. Trains depart Port Jefferson at 2:37 and then at 4:05. The schedule should be redone such that the Port Jefferson trains are shuttles but so as to allow for another westbound afternoon train connecting to an EMU at Huntington; cut another train or five elsewhere to balance this out. |
