In all fairness I can appreciate what Christie was telling NJ transit. Clean up house and stop the BS before you get another dime. He knows of the political jobs and waste that exists in government agencies.And even after all the crying NJ transit did they were able to come up with plan #2 and save lots of bus service. Where I work at NYC transit its no different. One of my current bosses has a Brother who is a bigger boss and pulled up his baby brother up with him. When you have qualified people at NYC transit who have good ideas and can get much more respect from thier underlings who stay at one position because they are not related to the right person. It just seems that we in the public transit business have forgotten that our main mission is to bring people from point a to point b in a safe, comfortable and quick manner. And I'm sure its not just transit agencies. |
