After the Aldene Plan was implemented, shuttle trains operated between E. 33rd St., Bayonne and E'port. I believe that service was cut back to W. 8th St. before being eliminated. I feel it would make much more sense to reactivate the Newark Branch via the existing West Side branch, thru South Kearny (major industrial area-much employment) then on to Newark. squeak |
