To all that commented on the pre-release of Nostalgia Train programming information:With a thread so long I am not sure who, if anyone will see this. It seems like the world has read through and commented on Train Man Paul's Nostalgia Train pre-announcement. WOW! This is a tribute to Sub Chat, a truly great social media website that connects and reaches so many people. I'll give Train Man Paul the benefit of the doubt when he says he was not aware that there was a member's preview window. Remembering the AMAZING 8 hour plus fan trips was probably ALL that was on anyone's minds. One person even noted that it was posted before anyone knew about it...so let's be fair and remember that for Museum Tours and excursions, there is a member's preview period. Why be a member if there aren't a few perks? I hope that a few of the hundreds of people that responded to this posting take the time and sign up to be members. It still isn't too late, sign up to be a member and you can join the Museum Members who call for tickets on April 23 – April 30, 2010. (The New York Transit Museum membership number is (718) 694-3451.) Moving forward: Museum Members reservations dates are: April 23 - April 30, 2010. The general public may call on May 1, 2010 to reserve their tickets for the trips. Since Train Man Paul is so good at getting the word out, I've extended an invitation to be placed on the Museum's media press list, provided the embargo on posting tours and excursions is honored ;-).
